Why Koko the Gorilla Mattered

Koko the Gorilla resided in the western lowland, and unfortunately was one of many endangered species. Koko was one of the most brilliant gorillas known to the western world, having over 2,000 words within her vocabulary. Koko could also use over 1,000 signs in ESL. Koko may have arguably been most known for the selfie that she took in the mirror which circulated around social media from back in 1978. She was also known for having a pet kitten that she held dear to her heart.
